This basket bag is woven by hand from natural grapevine bark, using a traditional technique known as midare-ami (irregular weaving).
The bark is softened and woven while still moist, and as it dries, it naturally tightens, creating a strong and enduring structure.
Each piece is crafted by skilled artisans who weave freely and intuitively, giving every bag a unique rhythm and texture that cannot be replicated.
